The Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Association (CGTTA) is the apex body of travel trade business owners in Chhattisgarh — the largest and first organised platform of its kind in the state.
Founded in 2021 with just 8 members, CGTTA has grown to a community of over 50 members spread across more than 7 cities in Chhattisgarh, reflecting the trust, relevance, and momentum the Association has built in a short span of time.
CGTTA brings together travel agents, tour operators, and travel trade business owners under one professional umbrella, giving a collective voice to a sector that has long remained fragmented and unorganised. We exist to change that — by building structure, fostering collaboration, and advocating for the rightful place of the travel industry in Chhattisgarh's economic and policy landscape.
Empowering the travel trade community through advocacy, collaboration, and professional growth.
We represent the interests of the travel trade at the highest levels of state and central government. A landmark achievement of CGTTA has been successfully advocating for Industry Status for Tourism in Chhattisgarh, which was granted by the Government in 2025 — a historic recognition that has significantly strengthened the ecosystem for tourism and travel businesses in the state.
CGTTA provides its members a credible, organised platform to raise concerns and engage with key stakeholders — including Airlines, Hotels, Cruise Operators, Consolidators, and departments of the State and Central Government — ensuring that the travel trade's voice is heard where it matters most.
At its very core, CGTTA was founded on the belief that a well-organised trade is a stronger trade. A significant part of our work is directed towards bringing structure, discipline, and professionalism to what has traditionally been a largely unorganised sector in the region. Through standardised practices, peer learning, and a culture of accountability, CGTTA is steadily raising the bar — helping its members operate more effectively, present themselves more credibly, and engage with clients, partners, and authorities with greater confidence. The goal is simple: to elevate the overall quality and image of the travel trade in Chhattisgarh.
We believe that an informed trade is a stronger trade. Through regular meetings, interactions, FAM trips, destination roadshows, and educational seminars, CGTTA continuously enhances the knowledge, product expertise, and professional skills of its members — keeping them ahead of trends and equipped for a dynamic industry.
CGTTA is a proud regional partner of the Tourism India Alliance (TIA) — one of India's most respected national tourism bodies. This strategic alliance gives CGTTA members a meaningful presence on the national and international stage, while CGTTA in turn contributes ground-level industry insights and regional intelligence to TIA, making it a genuinely mutual and complementary relationship.
This partnership has already delivered tangible results. CGTTA was well represented at TEX 2026, TIA's national convention held at Gopalpur in January 2026. Earlier, in August 2024, CGTTA hosted over 40 TIA members on an immersive trip to Bastar — giving the national travel fraternity a first-hand experience of one of India's most exotic and lesser-explored destinations, and firmly placing Chhattisgarh on their radar.
A core mission of CGTTA is to position Chhattisgarh among India's top travel destinations. We work closely with the government and tourism authorities to actively promote the state's rich and diverse tourism product — from its ancient temples and tribal heritage to its forests, waterfalls, and wildlife. We believe Chhattisgarh has the depth, the diversity, and the authenticity that today's traveller is seeking — and we are committed to telling that story louder and wider.
Some of the most remarkable tourism experiences in Chhattisgarh are being created by individuals working quietly in remote corners of the state — homestay owners, local guides, community tourism operators, and cultural custodians — whose work often goes unnoticed by the larger travel fraternity. CGTTA is actively working to bridge this gap — identifying these unsung contributors, bringing them onto a common platform, and integrating them into the mainstream tourism ecosystem. By connecting grassroots innovators with the organised trade, we aim to enrich Chhattisgarh's tourism offering while creating new and meaningful livelihood opportunities at the local level.
Beyond national alliances, CGTTA actively builds strategic partnerships with hospitality, aviation, and travel partners to create exclusive opportunities and tangible benefits for its members — making membership more than just association, but a genuine business advantage.
Beyond trade, CGTTA believes in giving back. The Association participates in social causes and community initiatives as part of its broader commitment to the society it operates in.
To build a professional, organised, and empowered travel trade community in Chhattisgarh — one that is respected by the government, valued by the industry, and built on a foundation of knowledge, collaboration, and integrity.
